I think Jimmy Carters attepmt to conserve and cut down fuell use was a positive impact on America. It just spread that idea of taking care of our enviorment, just making the world just a healthier and sfer place to live. Creatures(For A While): by 311

My name is volatile I’ve been this way a long while I’d surely like to rest But the energy gets the best of me Check it out It’s been a wild ride I wouldn’t change a minute I can’t slow down inside Guess that’s why I live it Watch it now The years of mischief Followed by weeks of thrift I land on earth’s hard face No legs could keep that pace And through the rest I sift Is there ever a time? When the state of sleeping willingly leaves my mind Highly frustrated wanna feel elated Come Monday morn you feel checkmated You can be uncool and become the rule Exceptions were made to drown I’m not used to it, you’d think I’d be by now The ins the outs the ups and the downs I wanna make a mess I wanna blow off stress I wanna stoke the fire Just creatures for a while I wanna make a mess I wanna blow off stress I wanna stoke the fire Just creatures, just creatures It comes and goes and comes and goes Sometimes I go a little crazy Sometimes I go a little crazy just like you I do I know what you were gonna say You were afraid to cause dismay Your lyrics switched around The mixture watered down And now a pointless display It’s something one won’t understand Unless they're in it with me hand in hand Don’t buy the fear don’t buy that my dear The things you love you must keep near and Carry on and you won’t feel withdrawn Even if you’re coming down Sometimes it’s wearable sometimes is bearable I careen towards balance til’ the glass is full I wanna make a mess I wanna blow off stress I wanna stoke the fire Just creatures for a while I wanna make a mess I wanna blow off stress I wanna stoke the fire Just creatures, just creatures It comes and goes and comes and goes Sometimes, sometimes I get a little out there Sometimes I go off Sometimes just like you Watch it now (whoo) I go a little crazy Sometimes I go a little crazy just like you I do Sometimes I go a little crazy Sometimes I go a little crazy just like you I do

The song talks about being a person with a normal life, and just getting fed up and raging and smashing on everyone. It protests the idea of holding up your emotions, the lyrics suggest just letting it all go.

JFK Field Trip Reflection.

1. I didn't really know anything about the Cuban Missile Crisis until I went to the Museum. I found it interesting and scary that a hostile country, only 90 miles from Florida, had weapons of mass destruction ready to blow us to smithereens.
2. I thought that the section of November 22nd, 1963 with all the t.v.s showing what was going on that day was pretty cool. Also, I thought how they had all the JFK artifacts throughout the museum was pretty sweet.
3.I thought the field trip was fun and imformative. I wouldn't change anything.
4. I personally think JFK was one of the best presidents that this country has had. He was someone different than the others. I think his presidency was appropiate for the time this country was in.

The End

I think the Butter Battle would end with the yooks and the zooks realizing that both their weapons of destruction would destroy both their societies. So, they put the weapns aside and build a bigger wall, so the yooks and the zooks never have to cross paths again. Now both societies are satisfied witht this result. Neither side is destroyed, and neither side has to see each other again.

2009 Depression?!?!?

1. I think it's always possible for America to go back into a state of depression. Because it is possible for things to crash and all humans must fend for themselves. I do sometimes think about what it would be like to live in a depression but it is not something I plan on doing.

2. Some sacrifices would be things like don't leave water running, waste food, clothes, valuable possessions that are needed to survive. If my parents lost their jobs I would be very mad because I don't know what I do. I would probably go into the woods and survive on my own.

3.It would look different I agree but I don't know if we would be just really lazy watching t.v. or something I thin k people would be more motivated to get out of that state.

Simpsons Video HW

Part I: I think the producers of the episode did a good job of assesing the accuries of history in this episode. People in the town thought the answer to their problems was banning alcohol. Also in the episode illegal speakieasies were popular amongst the people and alson the police. The polic in the episode were getting paid to look the other way. I did enjoy the episode I thought it got across the message of the 1920's in a fun way.

Part II: I woukd edit the scene from the when they found the law that banned alcohol in Springfiled. I would have made so after when Bart got drunk at the parade the people would have been so outaged that hey would just make it illegal themselves.

Is it right idf the government can take away rights in a time of war?

I think it was uncostitutional when the government made the people of the U.S. give up certain freedoms during WWI. When the government was basically filtering everything said negativly about the war effort was not allowed to posted. Which goes against the admendment to freedom of speech and press. It was wrong and a dark time in the American times. It was unconstituntional.
