The End
I think the Butter Battle would end with the yooks and the zooks realizing that both their weapons of destruction would destroy both their societies. So, they put the weapns aside and build a bigger wall, so the yooks and the zooks never have to cross paths again. Now both societies are satisfied witht this result. Neither side is destroyed, and neither side has to see each other again.

2009 Depression?!?!?
1. I think it's always possible for America to go back into a state of depression. Because it is possible for things to crash and all humans must fend for themselves. I do sometimes think about what it would be like to live in a depression but it is not something I plan on doing.
2. Some sacrifices would be things like don't leave water running, waste food, clothes, valuable possessions that are needed to survive. If my parents lost their jobs I would be very mad because I don't know what I do. I would probably go into the woods and survive on my own.
3.It would look different I agree but I don't know if we would be just really lazy watching t.v. or something I thin k people would be more motivated to get out of that state.

Simpsons Video HW
Part I: I think the producers of the episode did a good job of assesing the accuries of history in this episode. People in the town thought the answer to their problems was banning alcohol. Also in the episode illegal speakieasies were popular amongst the people and alson the police. The polic in the episode were getting paid to look the other way. I did enjoy the episode I thought it got across the message of the 1920's in a fun way.
Part II: I woukd edit the scene from the when they found the law that banned alcohol in Springfiled. I would have made so after when Bart got drunk at the parade the people would have been so outaged that hey would just make it illegal themselves.

Is it right idf the government can take away rights in a time of war?
I think it was uncostitutional when the government made the people of the U.S. give up certain freedoms during WWI. When the government was basically filtering everything said negativly about the war effort was not allowed to posted. Which goes against the admendment to freedom of speech and press. It was wrong and a dark time in the American times. It was unconstituntional.

Wouldn't It Be Nice

1. Wouldn't it be awesome if Jimi
Hendrix was alive?
2. If John Lennon stuck with The Beatles?
3. If school was easy?
4. If Eazy-E was still alive?
5. If Roger Waters stayed with Pink Floyd?
6. If Syd Barret never went crazy?
7. If Bob Marley was still alive?
8. If the Patriots won the superbowl this year?
9. If John Bohnam was alive today?

Aid To al Qaeda Caught In Guantanamo Bay

The story “Bin Laden's former driver guilty in terror trial” is an article from CNN, and is about how Osama Bin Laden’s former driver was arrested in Guantanamo Bay. The person is Salim Hamdan; he is being accused of driving Osama Bin Laden the leader of al Qaeda, the man responsible for the 9/11/01 attacks on the World Trade Center. The trial is being held at Guantanamo Bay, Salim is potentially facing a life sentence. Having occurred on 8/06/08, this could possibly a huge break through for the search for Osama Bin Laden. Salim’s defense said: “Hamdan was a low-level driver who knew little about the workings of bin Laden's al Qaeda”. Hamdan said: “ he worked for wages, not to wage attacks against America”. Hamdan pleaded: “not guilty at the start of the trial”.
Although the attacks on the Twin Towers happened seven years ago, we are still looking for details as to why the attacks happened. Although we try to escape bad memories of our past we are always drawn back to the strory of 9/11, the evidence suggests that Hamdan was just a poor man who was trying to make an extra dollar. The evidence says that he did not know any of Bin Laden’s plans to attack America. Hamdan was just a poor man with a bad job, and didn’t know what he was getting himself into. Although this man’s name is not well known, he did assit one of the worlds most diabolical men in the entire history of the world.

Irony Of What Is the What
One example of irony in What Is the What, is when the main character moves to America to escape the violence of Sudan, and while he is still home two burglars break into his house and go into his room at gun point. Another irony would be that when the man with the gun who broke in the main character’s house asks the main character if he is from Africa, the main character says yes, and the robber calls the main character his brother. This is ironic because the man broke into the main characters house and calls him his brother. Things are strange.
